Musical shows also called Musical Theatre is a kind of movie show performed in front of your eyes. It is kind of theatre consisting of role players, a drama storyline, music, spoken dialogues, dance, lights and dress up. Lyrics are one of the most crucial parts of the musicals as it consists of dialogues, songs and orchestrated dance.
The origin of Live musical shows can be traced to early 20th century, where they were simply called musicals or musical shows. This type of entertainment is prevalent all over the world. It is a good deal more interesting than the normal dramas because it has all the components and elements for entertainment.
The most celebrated musical plays since the twentieth century are West Side Story, Les Miserables, Show Boat, A Chorus Line, Oklahoma! The Fantasticks, The Phantom of Opera, Rent, The Producers and Broadway. Amongst these, the West End of London and the Broadway of New York are the most famous. These entertainment shows have very high budgets. One musical show may cost as much as the whole budget of a complete movie.
In our country India, the phase of live musicals has already started. Many musicals have been started such as shows like “Zangoora-The Gypsy Prince” in kingdom of Dreams in Gurgaon and “The city of dreams” in Mumbai.
These kinds of live shows have much more potential and provide best opportunity for the actors and the supporting people who are behind the scene. These shows have a bright future with the best of music, drama, dance, choreography and songs.
